The Capability Development Grant (CDG) is a financial assistance programme that helps you develop capabilities across 10 development areas, ranging from raising service standards, adopting technology to staff training and overseas expansion. The grant supports a wide-ranging of capability upgrading initiatives to help you grow your businesses locally and globally.
To encourage more SMEs to build business capabilities, the application process for the Capability Development Grant support of $30,000 or less has been simplified. SMEs can look forward to simpler application forms and reduced documentation requirements for such projects when submitting your applications via the Enterprise Singapore Grant Portal.
CDG at a Glance
Companies looking to scale up business capabilities for sustainable growth can tap on the Capability Development Grant (CDG). You can take on projects in areas such as product development, human capital development, standards adoption and business processes enhancement.
The grant defrays up to 70% of qualifying project costs such as consultancy, training, certification and equipment expenses.
SMEs can apply for CDG if they meet the following criteria:
- Registered and operating in Singapore
- Have a minimum of 30% local shareholding
- Group annual sales turnover of S$100 million or less, or group employment of up to 200 employees
Enterprise Singapore will assess the application based on your needs, the project scope, and competency of the service provider in improving your business capabilities. All applications are subject to Enterprise Singapore’s approval.
